A Landlord Gas Safety Record, often called a CP12, confirms the results of safety checks on the gas appliances and flues a landlord provides for tenants. The check must be completed by a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.
Landlords must arrange a gas safety check every 12 months. Existing tenants need a copy of the record within 28 days of the check, and new tenants must receive the current record before moving in.
